The Importance of Ritual The most important times in our lives are all marked by rituals. From when we come into the world and are baptized or named; when we graduate?or achieve something special by our own efforts; when we fall in love and want to commit to one another; when we move into a new home or business; when we remember our love and commitment over the years; when a loved one passes away.
All of these times in our lives should be marked, remembered and cherished by ritual and ceremony. It is often important for our friends and loved ones to be present to share in our joys and our sorrows.
Birthings and Blessings When you welcome your new baby into the world, I can offer you either a Christian Baptism or a non-religious Naming Ceremony. You help to put the ceremony together so that you are completely comfortable with the format.
This is such a special time to show off your baby to your family and friends and imbue the ceremony with meaning and precious memories.
The ceremony can be held anywhere that has special meaning to you, and those who will have particular meaning to your child can be honoured in the ceremony.
House Blessings Whether you move to a new home or a new business, you are making a fresh start in your life. I can help to create the perfect ceremony for you to ?connect? with your new environment. I can also help you to say goodbye to your old surroundings.
Vow Renewals Perhaps you had to have a quiet wedding ceremony, perhaps it was overseas. Perhaps you are celebrating a ?milestone? anniversary. Why not have a celebration with family and friends and renew your vows?
You may use the vows which you had at your wedding, or you may decide on something completely different. Reaffirm your love and create new memories to cherish.
Love Commitment Ceremonies Love Commitment Ceremonies are for those who may not feel the need for a legal piece of paper to acknowledge their love for one another and to commit their lives to one another. Same sex couples also can express their love and commitment to each other with a Love Commitment Ceremony. Your service can be private, or it can be shared with the world! Your ceremony will by designed especially for you with your help and input.
Christian Funerals I have been conducting Christian funerals for the last 2? years. It is at this most difficult time I am able to offer you a Christian Funeral that offers comfort and healing.
Maybe your loved one was a believer but did not have any formal church affiliation. I can give you a religious service at the chapel or crematorium of your choice which will dovetail with all Funeral Directors? arrangements.
I have, when the family and friends feel unable, both written and delivered the eulogy.
You may participate as little or as much as you desire in the farewell service for your loved one.
I am happy to travel to your chosen location. As I live in the Blue Mountains, it does not take very long to travel to Lithgow, Oberon, or anywhere in Sydney.
Although I am not currently authorized to conduct marriages, there are so many times in our lives that need a ceremony, both happy and sad. Other than the ceremonies mentioned here, there are times such as passing exams; getting a driving license; turning sweet sixteen, eighteen or twenty-one; achieving something of special importance; times of returning to your home after a loved one has passed away, times of illness, times of a marriage ending.
