I have been in the health industry for many years, starting off as a Registered Nurse while living in Sydney, fresh out of school. I found the whole hospital system very uninspiring and not conducive to people being able to heal so after several years of nursing in major hospitals I did a course in Remedial Massage, wanting to spend more time with the person who isn't feeling well, as opposed to the fleeting presence we can give while nursing. I then wandered into the marvellous world of Bowen Therapy (via Reiki and Flower Essences).
So my interests have always lied in the natural field, it just makes sense to me - what we eat, how we think, what we do in our lives all affect the way we feel - dramatically. Facing our fears, big or little , whether its jumping out of a plane, climbing a mountain or removing chocolate from our diet, its a huge and powerful catalyst for change. Knowing that we want to do it, trying to do it, and succeeding in doing it will give us the strength to achieve more, feel better about ourselves and know there's nothing we can't do.
This understanding can be used in every sense including having pain or discomfort in the body or mind, they usually do go together.
So what I do is help people to understand their limits, help them to step through them and achieve the things they thought were impossible, utilising Bowen Therapy, sometimes Flower essences and always empathy and listening abilities.
