Dr Jarrod Alivizatos (Osteopath Prahran) has a special interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions with a structural focus. By having an understanding of both acute and chronic pain syndromes, Jarrod believes that we can assist the body with its own inherent capacity to heal itself.
With time spent involved in the rehabilitation programs for two major AFL clubs, Jarrod has also taken a special interest in the treatment and prevention of sports injuries.Jarrod completed his Osteopathy training in 2004 after undertaking degrees in Clinical Science and Master of Health science (Osteopathy). He has always taken a special interest in research and development with in the health sciences. In 2004 he completed a thesis titled the "...effect of Osteopathic treatment on patients with sub-acute and sub-chronic neck pain".
Jarrod has also played a significant role in the research and development of the world's first Sleep Care Centre that allows health care practitioners to prescribe mattresses that are specific to individuals unique needs.
