My long experience and practise ensures safe and comfortable treatment.I have developed my own treatment style using a combination of Acupuncture, Herbs, Massage, Moxabustion, Cupping, Auriculo Therapy, Nutritional and Lifestyle Advice. It is a balanced strategy and accelerates the healing process.
My Acupuncture technique has evolved over the last 23 years and is known to be quite pain-free,(no needle jiggling) I like my patients to have an enjoyable experience. Usually people comment afterwards on their feeling of peace and well being. I use very fine stainless steel disposable needles. The needles are inserted just under the skin. If a heat treatment is needed I use Moxa sticks or direct Moxa attached to the needle head (clients report this as particular pleasurable) I also apply heat packs.
My massage techniques have developed over the last thirty years. My Swedish style massage incorporates Acupressure, some Shiatsu techniques, Deep tissue and Tuina style massage.
The Chinese herbs I use are dried herbs in granular, powder or pill form. I also employ some 'Metagenics' products (which is a combination of Western and Chinese herbs mixed with the correct nutrients for proper absorption these tablets have been highly effective in my clinical experience.
One treatment session lasts about one hour except for the initial consultation when the session can take up to 2 hours. According to the nature of illness and the person's individual energetic constitution I provide information on foods that can enhance treatment.
I might also suggest exercises & breathing techniques During a course of treatment I give individualised advice how to maintain your health autonomously.
