I want you to be happy with all the aspects of your furniture, comfort, support and life of your furniture.  I want your furniture to last, being more cost effective for you!  Quite often people say to me, oh is it that expensive to get this recovered, I can buy a new lounge suite for that, but the difference is that you pay it once and you get 15-20 years whereas, buying a new lounge in that time you will have to buy at least 2 to 3 lounge suites to get the same comfort, support and durability so it’s not that cost effective is it?

I started my apprenticeship in 1975 at Fubbs Furniture in Sydney (exclusive new furniture).  In 1976 I went with the foreman of Fubbs to start a new business which incorporated new contract furniture for Fubbs & Buckley in Sydney which also started in furniture restoration in antiques and modern reupholstery, I have had the best grounding of this trade. I have worked in all facets of the trade from old to new and to custom building furniture.

In 1991 I bought Gelders Upholstery which had operated in Woy Woy for 30+ years.  I have  employed apprentices and upholsterers  over that time but regrettably find if you’re not happy with the outcome of a job you need to do it yourself.  That’s what I am now.  Everything is done by me, I stand by everything I do because, I talk to you, I do it for you, and I’m proud to work for you personally.  I’ll do the best for you.
