We offer a friendly and highly professional service, using the latest imaging equipment to reduce scan times without compromising image quality. Typically test results are sent directly to the treating doctor electronically on the same day that the scan is performed.
Our highly skilled sonographers use a top of the range Toshiba Apio ultrasound machine to record highly detailed images, helping doctors to make a quick and accurate diagnosis. The latest digital x-ray technology is used at all of our Insight Radiology centres to reduce patient radiation exposure. Doctors can view a patient's digital x-ray and the radiographer's notes remotely, which allows a rapid diagnosis to be made and the correct treatment started promptly.
We provide the full range of CT imaging services at all of our centres including CT coronary, virtual colonography, bone mineral densitometry and CT angiography scans. Our CT scanner in Narellan is the only 640-slice machine in the MacArthur region. This type of scanner reduces patient radiation doses by up to 88% compared to other scanners in use in the area, making our centre the safest place to have a CT test performed.
Our MRI services in Griffith are performed on the Siemens 1.5T Magnetom MRI which has the shortest bore design in its class. Patients benefit from a much less claustrophobic environment with this machine than other MRI scanners, allowing imaging tests to be performed in greater comfort.
Our MRI services in Narellan are performed on an open-bore MRI scanner incorporating weight bearing features. The scanner is ideal for patients affected by claustrophobia and upright MRI scans are more comfortable for patients. Both our MRI services in Devonport and Narellan are ideal for back scans, as spinal problems are easier to detect on this type of upright MRI scanner.
